where are you going vs. smooth talk

Even though the movie "smooth talk" took some liberties, as all movies do, I found both decently comparable. Where they differ mostly, in my opinion, is in how believable they were. I found Arnold Friend more believably portrayed in the movie. Being able to see his expressions along with his dialog made the character seem more like a strange and persuasive person than the sort of alluded satanic being from the book. first memory

My first memory is more of a sort of collage of scenes from when my family lived in Ontario, Canada due to my dad getting transfered through work. I remember a bunch of snapshots such as me sitting in my sandbox and playing with those little, plastic army men that were either green or tan and fixed in a military-like position or driving my little battery-powered jeep around the block. I do not remember many details or people around, just the stuff I liked doing by myself, free and exploring the world like all children do without a care in the world. I suppose that's the point of early memories though, nothing specific, just a snapshot in the timeline of your life...
